  • Aaron — You say, “I’ll have a Sprite.” Most people here would probably call soda/pop “soft drinks”; that’s how the aisle signs are labeled. It’s not unheard of, however to hear a conversation similar to the following… Guy 1: “Hey, I’m gonna go get a Coke. You want one?”
    Guy 2: “Sure.”
    Guy 1: “What do you want?”
    Guy 2: “Sprite.”

  • Our grocery store Wegman’s is HQ’d in Buffalo NY —“pop” country, we’re further east in Ithaca NY which is more “soda” area— on their aisle signs they have “soda pop” — which covers all the bases!
