Umm, more expensive and less functionality… yay? I had the credit card out and need a new laptop, it's firmly back in place in the 'ol wallet now. Pity.
New Apple Laptops
Tech Buzz Jobs just announced them, here’s the info. Improved graphics and speed, a glass trackpad, LED display and new, rounded look and solid construction. The new Mac Book Pros are going for $1999 (15.4 inch display, 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA 9400 and 9600) or $2499 with larger HD and faster CPU. Also, a new Macbook Air and a 24-inch LED-backlit cinema display. Regular Macbooks are now $999, with a new Macbooks in aluminum casing, for $1299 and $1599.

This is a collection of pictures which show how the new cases are milled from a single block of aluminum. To me, this is the most compelling feature of the new design.
