This is a little unsettling to be on buzzfeed, and as kvb said it is a mite grim. At least her family have some sense of closure, but that really isn't any kind of consolation. Pantera were a damn good band, and so are Metallica. She had great taste in music :(

This is grim and not viral. This is not what I come to Buzzfeed for. This stuff is represented everywhere else just fine. Do you really want to start covering bad news like this? Is this really in your charter?

Some of the comments were off-color. This is a sad case but there is a point..this months old case is not unusual and women and children go missing all the time. Does Buzzfeed really want to get into the business of choosing which ones to post?

Sending out “white girl” alerts isn't funny and pointing it out isn't hilarious, it's just the way things are when black girls gone missing never get the press or only for a moment.

I'm always shocked that people are shocked that the internet is home to crass and cruel humor. I can practically hear all the monocles popping out and landing in teacups any time someone posts a joke about 9/11 or the Holocaust or (apparently) a murdered metalhead. It's the internet, folks, the only thing sacred here is Cats.

No one who posted negative comments has children. There's just no way. And I hope you never do. Consider it a curse I've placed on you. You don't deserve them.

Just like I hope a building falls on Liz, I hope those of you who posted something shitty (that you thought was just HILARIOUS) have daughters who end up being dumped in a field.

I agree with John—some the comments made earlier are incredibly disturbing and kind of disgusting. I thought most of us were adults here.

Yes, the media loves covering “missing white people”, but it's not her fault she was kidnapped and murdered. This story would be tragic regardless of her race. I can't believe people are giving this an “lol”. Wow…
