The sales lady at the store told Michelle she looked great in the dress. It might of looked good in the store with all of the special lighting. On stage in Grant park it was kind of dark, and the dress was not very flattering.

It was a daring choice. I was very surprised to find that it was a designer dress. It's possible that the color combination and dark outline did not show off well under the kind of lighting that was available at that outdoor venue. What looks good under runway or high room lighting, may be totally different in the dark with spot lights. I look forward to seeing how she works with the White House social consultant on her wardrobe and hair. With her height and figure, I think she will look absolutely stunning in a well-designed ball gown. My only tip for her would be to stand up a bit taller and hold her head high. Very tall women without model training tend to try to minimize their height by slumping a bit.

I thought her dress was FIERCE. Alas, maybe too fierce for the event.

There's really no two ways about it..Michell Obama is incredibly beautiful. The dress looks better on her than the model of course..it was an interesting choice, the black and red theme with the family..it works and there was once a widely respected First Lady that had unique fashion choices people embraced. I think it's going to happen again, Palin can take her glasses back to Alaska.

After 8 years of Laura Bush dressing like an Amish librarian, it's prime to see a hot lady like Michelle move into the big house.
