i used to feed one at a friend's beach house. We cut some squid meat cubes and walked to the end of a small wooden pier. It was usually around the same area hidden in the sand.

Don't be a twit. It's just an ocean animal, not interested in hurting you. Can't even sting you easily if you don't notice & step on it because of it's size. If you want a monster; try the Humboldt Squid.

I'm normally a peace-loving guy, but something like this?  Kill it before it breeds. Burn it in a fire. Chop it in to little bits, and spread the remains at the four corners of the world.  Then? Kill it again.
