BUZZ: God, I remember having do do a chart like this for a typography class… If you don't get it, though: Microsoft didn't want to pay the creators of Helvetica for the font. Making a serious new font is an pain in the ass, with months of fiddling to find out ways so that no possible letter combination looks odd or easy to confuse at fast reading. So M$ commissioned a cheap-ass copy of Helvetica that changes about as little as possible without getting sued. The result? Arial, the slightly uglier font that you see everywhere everytime and cannot escape. Comic Sans? Some programmer did it in an afternoon by quickly tracing some old comic book fonts. And that's why it is the most evil font next to Neuropol.
