Jocelyn Schur graduated from Trinity College in 2011 with a degree in Human Rights. She is an advocate for survivors of trauma, criminal justice, youth leadership, and sex education. She is committed to ending violence against women and children through education, prevention, and raising awareness about how we are all responsible in protecting our youth and empowering them to know their bodies and their rights. After graduation, Jocelyn worked at the Eleanor Roosevelt Girls Leadership Worldwide where she served as a mentor to 50 girls from around the world. She traveled to Guatemala to teach English, Meditation, and Yoga at Education & Hope. Jocelyn worked at the Omega Institute of Holistic Studies to help launch the Women's Leadership Center and prepare for the annual Women & Power Conference. Most recently, she served as the Volunteer Coordinator for Planned Parenthood of Southern New England. She pursues every professional development opportunity she can, including CT's newest initiative, Youth Mental Health First Aid training. She is certified as an advocate for victims of sexual assault through the YWCA. Jocelyn serves as a consultant to Advocates for Youth fundraising initiatives and is a Board Member at the Center for Women and Families.
