Bah. “Trekkies”.  Saying “Trekkers” always seemed like a lame attempt to reconquer a nickname, like Kleenex trying to get people to call tissue “facial tissue” instead of Kleenex. I understand the arguments for it, but at some point if you find yourself correcting everyone for going on 20 years now you might want to pack it in. I'm a Trekkie. Proud of it.

BTW Sarah, it's Trekk-ers, not Trekkies. I'm so insulted. Plus I prefer “geek”, not “nerd” for any flames coming my way…
