We meal plan for the week and also make freezer meals. If I’m going to make spaghetti sauce, I’ll make a big batch and divide the leftover sauce in to two serving increments to freeze. In the summer, I grow a garden and freeze or can tomatoes and green beans. Farm stands are great for this, and some orchards will let you pick fruit yourself for cheaper than buying what they picked.

Make a plan and stick with it. If you can, get a workout partner to hold you accountable. If not, try classes at the gym or a running group. Once you get in the habit, it’s hard to break. Especially when you start to realize how good you feel after exercising.
I am a nurse and one of my coworkers was emptying a urinary catheter into a container. His phone fell out of his chest pocket and into the container of urine. The worst part is he tried to salvage it!!
That all we do is clean up poop/body fluids. Yes, that’s part of the job, but we are medical professionals. We have lives in our hands. We titrate drips to control our patients’ blood pressure, heart rates, and more. We know when to call the doctor and what orders to anticipate or ask for. We do so much more than just pass meds.
Another thing that is frustrating is when people don’t understand the emotional stress. We witness horrible tragedies and death almost daily. It is really hard to deal with such things then leave work and hear someone complaining about how bad their day was when I just witnessed someone lose a family member.
Amen. If they only knew what we do.
