Technically Harriet Tubman Wouldn't Be The First Woman On The $20 Bill
Time travel back to 1863.
Harriet Tubman could be the next face of the 20, but she won't be the first woman.
Behold the bad bitch frontin' the original $20 bill in 1863. From the way Lady Liberty holds her sword and shield, it's clear she doesn't give a fuck.
Is that black smoke billowing from the White House behind her? Who cares! She's got a turkey, grapes, a pumpkin, and a mother-fuckin' sword. She good.
Lady Liberty lasted 17 years on the 20. Alexander Hamilton, George Washington, and Grover Cleveland also spent time as the face of the 20 before our favorite slaver President Andrew Jackson took over in 1928.
