Something unthinkable recently happened. FOX decided to cancel "The Mindy Project" and fans were not pleased.
But don't worry because it's been picked up by a Canadian broadcaster!
But we're not so surprised. Here are some reasons why The Mindy Project is actually secretly Canadian:
1. Mindy understands what it's like to go a full 24 hours without Tim Hortons.
2. She knows what it takes to get through a long, cold winter.
3. I.E., burying and hibernating inside your home with food and more alcohol.
4. She goes above and beyond the call of duty to help someone in need.
5. She has experienced what its like to deal with outrageously expensive data plans.
6. And what it's like to try and watch shows that aren't streaming in Canada.
...or, when they are, they're laggy and broken.
7. Mindy takes apologizing to new levels.
8. She understands the struggle of trying to fit in your summer clothes after a long winter of drowning yourself in sweaters and sweatpants.
*Blows dust off of jorts; mums prayer*
9. Mindy treats people and even objects with the utmost respect.
10. And can be overwhelmed with warm feelings, like every time you hear about a Canadian athlete heading to the Olympics.
11. And like other Canadians, she's charming, friendly, and pretty much likable wherever she goes.
12. She's, essentially, a woman who's aware of her own prowess.
13. Who's unafraid to tout them.
14. And how Canadian is that.
15. Plus, Mindy (Kaling) loves Drake.
