Apple To Finally Add A Woman To Executive Ranks Of White Males

Apple said today that Burberry Chief Executive Officer Angela Ahrendts will be its new head of retail starting this spring. She'll diversify the nine executives listed on its website.

Executive profiles from Apple's website:

Apple's new senior vice president of retail and online stores, Angela Ahrendts, will diversify the company's executive ranks when she starts in the spring of 2014.

The Burberry CEO, who's filling a spot that has been vacant for a year, will be reporting to Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Apple's top nine executive appear to be nearly all white men as per its website — not entirely surprising in the male-dominated tech industry, but interesting, nonetheless.

With Ahrendts, Apple's executive list will look a little more like its board of directors, which also includes one woman.
