sandraj3 a year agoPlease watch this recent BBC documentary about the slow loris: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhpw7UqTVnI - Joel B.’s page on the slow loris is spreading the myth that these animals are cute and wantable. The pet trade is not only contributing to their extinction, but appalling suffering. It’s worse than you can imagine, truly. It is totally illegal to trade these animals, and the videos are entirely misleading: they display docile behaviour as a response to feeling threatened. The animal with an umbrella is wounded, and in fear. They are nocturnal, so the bright lights of most of these are causing pain to their eyes. Please remove this channel - you will get a lot more comments like this. There is a petition to remove these videos from YouTube, nearly 2500 people have signed.
