For the past day, rumors have been swirling that top British export One Direction were going on hiatus — perhaps temporarily, perhaps for good.
It was enough to terrify any Directioner. I mean, we've already lost Zayn this year...THE THOUGHT OF A FULL BREAKUP WAS JUST TOO MUCH TO BEAR!!!
Fans (justifiably) were not taking the potential breakup well.

But in a sign that there is SOME good left in the world, the best-looking member of the band took to Twitter to confirm 1D is "taking a well earned break" at some point in 2016.
Ok so Lots of rumours going round. We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well earned break at some point next year
And soon-to-be-dad Louis Tomlinson said One Direction is "not going anywhere."
