Last night’s Met Ball was anything but the norm, as celebrities dressed up in their finest costumes, dedicated to the 80s and 90s, or better known as the punk era. With big hair, detailed leather and gold ‘Rock ‘N Roll’ accessories, spikes, cut outs, andaheadpiece, as well as bright, solid, bold patterns and leopard prints, not one big name was missed on the red carpet, as flashbulbs were inaconstant frenzy to capture the perfect moment, as celebrities began to make their way through the craziness and mayhem. From the likes of Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow, Miranda Kerr, Jessica Biel, Taylor Swift, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez and her beau, Casper Smart, Amanda Seyfried, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Nina Dobrev, Katie Holmes, Stacy Keibler, Miley Cyrus, Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods, Beyonce, Madonna, Zooey Deschanel, Nicole Richie, Uma Thurman, Beyonce, Jennifer Lawrence, Jimmy Fallon, Kerry Washington, Seth Meyers, Zachary Quinto, Lena Dunham, Kelly Osbourne, Katie Couric, Anne Hathaway, Michael Strahan, Ashley M. Greene, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin, as well as Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, just to nameafew, strong, fashionable statements were made up and down the red carpet, outside New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. With that said, think of yesterday evening’s event as the Olympics, or the Oscars of fashion, if you will, outside of every other major Hollywood event and premiere, of course, as designer’s outfits are considered to be the biggest inspirations and visions with hidden background stories, and the ultimate result of outstanding theatrical, artistic masterpieces. With this year’s event officially in the history and record books, it’s now time to look forward to next year’s briliant creations! Are you ready to strut your stuff and vogue for the cameras? This is your time to shine, and on the biggest carpet of them all! No pressure, right? As most fashion mavens today in Hollywood say, “Go big or go home,” or even better yet, “Work it, girl!”
