MMR 9 months agoI don’t imagine that would work as well because by the time the melted ice cubes water down the drink, it would change how acidic the soda is. Also, the little pockmarks on the Mentos is a very important factor. I don’t think it would melt evenly enough for it to form enough bubbles. I saw the Mythbusters episode on Diet Coke & Mentos, and although they didn’t do this experiment, it gives great info on what makes the reaction work the right way.
