Teacher Given Jail Sentence After She Let Kindergarteners Beat Up A Bully To Show Him How It Feels

Cynthia Ambrose said she wanted to teach 6-year-old a lesson.

Cynthia Ambrose, a 44-year-old teacher from San Antonio, was convicted Tuesday of "official oppression."

In May, she ordered her students to line up and take turns hitting their classmate, encouraging them to hit him harder, to teach him how it feels to be bullied.

The incident happened at Salinas Elementary School in San Antonio. The hitting only stopped when 6-year-old Aiden Neely was hit by a seventh student so hard that he began to cry.

Officials and parents were horrified at the incident and on top of sentencing Ambrose, District Judge Side Harle hopes to bar Ambrose from teaching for two years.

During her trial Ambrose said that she was, in fact, a good person.
