This horrifying thing was made by Kyle Marcoux, the food blogger behind The Vulgar Chef. It is exactly what it looks like: A red velvet corn dog.
He also made these blueberry pancake corn dogs. Why, you ask? What could inspire such complete disregard for the sanctity of the corn dog?
Marcoux said the red velvet corn dog was inspired by all the gross fair food he's seen. He told BuzzFeed he wondered why no one had ever coated a hot dog with red velvet.
"I got drunk and made corn dogs a few ways," Marcoux wrote on his blog. "When you see this shit at your county cock fair or whatever just remember where you saw it first."
