in 2005, Jeff Bridges made a surprise appearance at Lebowski Fest wearing his jellies sandals from the film and brought his band to play some Creedence.

At the Annual Lebowski Fest held every summer in Louisville, the Achievers play the "Ringer Toss" which recreates a scene where Walter throws a bag of his dirty undies out in lieu of ransom money. The ringer cannot look empty.

Lebowski Fest always has at least one person dressed as John Turturro's pederast bowler The Jesus. Nobody f**ks with The Jesus.

He's The Dude. So that's what you call him.

The Dude is based on Jeff "The Dude" Dowd, a friend of the Coen Brothers who has made many appearances at Lebowski Fest.

A female Achiever as the severed toe that The Nihilists use in attempt to scare The Big Lebowski into paying their ransom. They send us a toe, we're supposed to sh*t ourselves with fear.

Every Lebowski Fest has at least a handful of Valkyries from The Dude's dream sequence. And proud we are of all of them.

There are some spot-on costumes at Lebowski Fest. This Walter has a showdog, with papers. He's not renting it shoes, he's not buying it a beer and it's not taking your turn.

Kyle Gass of Tenacious D fame donned his Walter costume and headlined the 12th Annual Lebowski Fest with his band. He met a few giant bowling pins that night.

Dude's car got a little dinged up.

The Dude's car parked itself in a handicapped zone at Lebowski Fest in LA and won a trophy. The car was blaring Creedence from the tape deck inside.

A cast reunion was held at Lebowski Fest New York in 2011 with Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Julianne Moore, John Turturro & T. Bone Burnette who curated the soundtrack to The Big Lebowski.

Jack Black crashed Lebowski Fest LA and did a cameo performance of "Viva Las Vegas" with Kyle Gass Band as Elvis Knievel before The Big Lebowski screened.
