The 10 Stages Of Being Sore

It's time to get ready for swimsuit season. Yes, now. You may thing the biggest hurdle is actually getting to the gym, but it is easily foreshadowed by how much being sore from finally being active hurts. Thanks, winter.

    1. Look how many squats you just did. This is amazing, you probably burned like 500 calories just now. Such a badass, you don't even have jello legs!

    2. And then you walk down the gym stairs to get to your car and your legs are all:

    3. You drive home, pick up a to-go dinner, because you obviously can't walk from the car to the building without falling, get to your house and try and get inside, because you just want to eat and go to sleep.

    4. Wake up, feeling like a champ. You totally aren't sore at all!!!

    5. In fact, let's do a little morning workout. Again, no sore here! Pony Legs! Watch out! Something's a little off, but you ignore it.

    6. You get to your desk and you have a seat. Busy as a bee, you don't realize what has just hit you, until you try and take lunch at your desk.

    7. 2 p.m. rolls around and you have to walk to the printer. And it really hits you. HOURS LATER.

    8. You try and sit back down in your chair, but you decide that standing and working outweighs the pain of the sitting motion in itself.

    9. Looking at your gym bag, sitting on the floor, judging you, it's decided that you will skip your afternoon workout today.

    10. You get home and you and your couch become one. For the remainder of the night.
