A spoken word video created by Rich Tidwell answering why a relationship with Jesus is greater than religion. Many people believe they have to do more and try harder in order to be good enough for God; yet Jesus shares the revelation that God has loved us first. It is because of his love, acceptance, and mercy that we live for him in gratitude for grace.
The "religion" defined within the poem is self-righteous moralism; not depending on God's grace as a gift given through Jesus but something to be earned through good behavior. Self-righteous moralism exists so strongly within all religions it can become synonymous with the word “religion” itself.
