Interesting read. Phoenix has been one of my favorite bands for years and it’s nice to see them finally getting some recognition for being consistently amazing. My mom (Chinese from Indonesia) was really into being an “American,” but a lot of these still applied. Rice for every meal, relatives fattening you up and then insulting you (in another language!) for being fat, and DURIAN OH GOD DURIAN. But Chinese New Year is awesome :)
