    Because you can't be good at everything...

    1. Read maps badly

    2. And so...get very lost and have to fork out for a taxi that you can't afford

    3. Forget any language skills you have when put on the spot

    4. Say something stupid when asking for directions

    5. Be incapable of finding anything you want to eat and get so hungry that you gorge on EVERYTHING

    6. Miss your bed and Netflix marathons more than is healthy

    7. Consider flying home for a proper cup of tea

    8. Lose your belongings

    9. Get lost when hiking

    10. Only talk to new people when drunk

    11. So that you wake up with few recollections of the night before

    12. Get an inordinate amount of new tattoos

    13. Get bored of telling your life story and just say "I'm from London"

    14. Correct fellow backpackers' grammar even when they are speaking in their third language

    15. Have intense FOMO and sign up for extreme sports that you don't understand

    16. Hate saying goodbye to new friends and get sad every time

    17. And if you see them again get a little overexcited

    18. Be really bad at making decisions

    19. Say inappropriate things in front of people you have know for five minutes

    20. Get lonely when you're on your own for too long
