I’m not sure what measure you’re using when you say PTSD is “most common” among soldiers and veterans. In terms of numbers, more people with PTSD trace the cause back to childhood abuse, sexual assault, or domestic violence than to military service-related events. That being said, I absolutely agree with the commenter who pointed out that it’s not helpful to compare or “one up” when it comes to trauma. Trauma is very subjective and for the people suffering, it is awful no matter what the genesis. This article was really not great in that regard because obviously some people felt their trauma experiences were being invalidated due to not being military related. That’s not okay.
Does no one else think it’s disgusting that a 12 year old is dancing in that “Lolly” video? Did anyone (manager? parent?) listen to the lyrics before they signed off on letting her do that?
