Jesus And Mary Would Be "Lynched" Today, Says Israeli Embassy
A post on the Israeli Embassy in Ireland’s Facebook page floats a “thought for Christmas.”
The Israeli Embassy in Dublin, Ireland, posted a Christmas message on its Facebook page on Monday depicting Jesus and the Virgin Mary along with a “thought for Christmas”:
“If Jesus and mother Mary were alive today, they would, as Jews without security, probably end up being lynched in Bethlehem by hostile Palestinians.
Just a thought…….”
And here’s the actual Christmas tree lighting in Bethlehem, just a few days ago.

Update: A spokesman for the embassy told BuzzFeed that the post was a “total misunderstanding” and had been taken down.

ADoA 4 months agoI’m sorry, but what does the Christmas tree have to do with anything, as if Jesus celebrated Christmas… to me it seems that (very amusingly) the poster thinks Jesus was Christian and posting that Christmas tree reflects on tolerance of Muslim Palestinians towards Christians. That Facebook post may be a bit insensitive, but like it or not, it is true. People apparently overlook the word “today” which is key.

primavolta 5 months agoThis is how they try to justify denying flow of goods to Palestine, illegally attacking aid organizations, treating Palestinian civilians like terrorists, restricting their movement even in life-threatening situations, evicting them from their homes, and so on… Every crime they have accused Palestine of they have already given back many times.
