The Oldest Man In Parliament Just Threw Some Wonderful Shade On Twitter

Don't mess with the Father of the House.

Philip Ruddock is known as the 'Father of the House', because he's been in parliament for roughly one billion years.

Not one to be left behind the times, Philip recently joined Twitter.

Good to see you, Twitter! #myfirstTweet #auspol

His tweets are the usual politician things. Shaking hands, kissing babies etc.

Australian Parliamentarians against the Death Penalty group re-formed with friend and co-chair Chris Hayes MP #auspol

But today. Ohhhhhh boy. Not today. First, Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young tweeted this.

And Philip just waited. And waited. He waited 10 HOURS. Then he sent his reply.

It's just so perfect. Short. Sharp. To-the-point. And shady as all get-out.

You can teach an old dog new tricks. Philip Ruddock, we salute you.
