A Chicken Legit Tried To Cross The Road And It Was Cock Blocked By Police

UPDATE: A second chicken has been found.

Why did the chicken cross the road? Well, we'll never know now that Victorian Police have cock blocked one while it was trying to get somewhere.

Meet our new feathered friend who was saved by Epping police when attempting to cross the road at 4.30am.

The cheeky chook was actually hurled into a McDonald's restaurant at around 4.30 this morning.

Someone - some MONSTER - threw the chicken into the foyer of the Thomastown McDonald's, where staff avoided the temptation to make some fresh nuggets and instead took the chicken outside and called police.

"Occupants of a Black Ford sedan pulled up at a fast food restaurant in Thomastown at around 4.30am this morning," Victorian police said in a statement.

"They opened the door of the restaurant and threw a brown chook into the foyer area."

"Employees ushered the chook out and police arrived and caught it crossing the road. The chook named Nuggets is currently in the cells at Epping."

"We are trying to track down Nuggets' owners but if they don't come forward we will find her a new roosting place through the local council."

"Although the incident has ruffled her feathers, we are pleased to report that Nuggets is ruling the roost at her temporary accommodation."

UPDATE: A second chicken has been found roaming the streets. Is this the start of a delicious, nuggety revolution? Who can say.

Another chook, possibly known to Nuggets, was located at a Plenty Road service station earlier today. Now being cared for by local council.
