Punching ‘The Dude’
Jeff Dowd, aka the real-life inspiration for The Dude in The Big Lebowski, was punched in the face by a critic at Sundance. He was apparently harassing a Variety film critic/nihilist over a bad review of “Dirt! The Movie,” when the altercation went down. The Dude apologizes.
