Oaklander for 8 years, here. You forgot the rising homicide rate! Especially in summer! Awesome! Nothing like a gun in the face after grocery shopping at any 6 of our Trader Joe's locations! And forget fireworks at Jack London Square: just hit any flatlands neighborhood for a full, intersection blocking light show that last weeks after July 4th! My dog loves it! And forget about planting trees and expecting them to actually survive…. with the high drunk driving & property damage rates you'll never have to worry about wasting water on a dumb ol' tree anyway! Oakland! At least it's sunnier than SF! But, not as cheap as it used to be…. And when is Temescal gonna actually get cool and open a bookstore already?
