Tech Buzz Google's philanthropic arm, Google.org, released Google Flu Trends today, a simple web tool that will track and chart the flu as it spreads around the country. It's based on the idea that as people begin to get sick they'll search for things like “muscle aches” and “flu symptoms”, which will then show exactly where the flu is spreading. It's like an internet air raid siren for an oncoming epidemic, and is really freaking cool.
