Teddy~ 3 years agoYeah I used to take the red line in high school too. Pretty terrifying. Still, metro is much safer than driving a car even considering this awful accident. I hope this does not discourage people from taking Metro. D.C. traffic is bad enough as is. R.I.P. to those affected and best wishes to those injured.

i was on the metro when this happened and i had to sit underground for at least 45 minutes. it was absolutely insane and so frightening. i was actually only a few stops away.

Dave Friedel 3 years agoI commuted on the Metro for years. Computer controlled but have a driver who sits in front. It would take a combination of failures to have this happen.
