Bird Strike Data

The FAA released all that bird strike data they've been keeping for the last thirty years, and it's searchable. Did you know, for instance, that between 1990 and 2008 there were a total of 18 “domestic cat” bird-strikes?!

  • Alligators love the flat tarmacs. They walk onto landing strips to warm up. They used to do this down in the Florida Keys right in the middle of the road, until their little brains began to realize that their friends were getting run over by giant machines every time they went to sleep on the road.
