    As a gay man growing up in a small conservative state, this kind of language is harmful, and it is not being oversensitive to point out that it is exactly this kind of casual homophobic language that makes homophobia so rampant and socially acceptable in American culture. This banner reflects very negatively on this high school, and rightfully so.
