The incident reportedly took place at Snake Park (known as Stonebridge Gardens) in Haggerston on Wednesday.

Twitter user @burgerbeartom, who uploaded the video, told people in the Haggerston Road area to be “vigilant and stay safe”.

An eyewitness told London24: “There was a group of four lads hanging out in the park minding their own business for [a] solid hour or so."

Two youths on bikes then spotted the man in the helmet and shouted that he was "gonna get it", the eyewitness said.

“They turned around, jumped off bikes and chased the lad in the helmet who then pulled out the big knives. The cyclists then pulled out the smaller knives.

“There was lots of shouting. They then departed saying they’d finish each other off in Haggerston Park.”

A spokesman for the Metropolitan police told BuzzFeed that officers were aware of the incident and inquiries were underway.

No arrests have so far been made, but officers are working to find those involved.
