1. Update — April 9, 12:45 p.m. BST:
Kent Police have said Peaches Geldof’s postmortem examination “proved inconclusive pending the result of toxicology analysis”.
Officers are continuing the investigation of the circumstances surrounding Geldof’s death in order to compile a report for the coroner, and toxicology report results can take several weeks.
2. Earlier, Kent County Council said it would wait for the results of the post-mortem before deciding whether there needs to be an inquest into Geldof’s sudden death.
The council said in a statement: “A decision on whether there needs to be an inquest depends upon the final results of the postmortem.”
It added it could take “some weeks” for the results to come through.
