Manchester United Have Spent £150 Million On New Players But Their Fans Can't Stop Moaning

Some people have very short memories.

Manchester United's new manager, Louis van Gaal, has spent £150 million on new players during the summer transfer window in an attempt to rebuild a squad which finished an uncharacteristically low seventh in the Premier League last season.

While fans of any other club would be thrilled with the players United have bought this summer, some spoilt Red Devils supporters* are convinced all hope is lost:

*We are well aware that some of these accounts are from rival fans.

Fuck it let's get relegated. One thing would be for certain next season, we would have some cracking away days!

United's team's going to be more top heavy than Lolo Ferrari. It's like a 13-year-old is deciding their transfer policy

so we got rid of hernandez, Kagawa and Welbeck but kept Clev, Young and Anderson. Big names covering up a poor transfer period for #MUFC

At least now Kagawa and Hernandez gone Anderson can have 3 seats on bench for fat arse.

The biggest issue is the club buying up hugely expensive forwards, such as Ángel di María for a record £59.7 million, while neglecting a clearly fragile defence.

If United sign Vidal: Attack - Champions League Midfield - Champions League Keeper - Champions League Defence - Vanarama Conference North

Amazing that United are going to spend 򣅰m this summer and yet Chris Smalling is going up the pecking order in defence.

FYI, the money spent on di María is more than Burnley have spent in their entire history. The two sides drew 0-0 last month...

Higher priority to sign a world class Centre Back first than a CM. Need a leader at the back!

I'm not saying Man Utd's defence looks insecure, but they're playing Jennifer Lawrence's iCloud drive at the back next week.

Switch to 4-3-3 Terminate Young & Valencia's contracts immediately Buy a world class Centre Mid Replace our physios with capable ones

    Sums up Manchester United's defence...

No point buying a world class midfielder if your defenders fucking hoof it over his fucking head all bastard day.

To finally bolster defence Man Utd are in talks w/agents representing the Thames Barrier. Here's how they'd line up.

Selling Danny Welbeck to rivals Arsenal late last night didn't help matters.

Regardless of whether you think he is good or not, helping Arsenal in their desperate search for a striker is brainless from Utd.

After the team wasted Shinji Kagawa's obvious talents, seeing Borussia Dortmund's joy at re-signing him also upset some.

You might have thought that securing the services of world-class striker Radamel Falcao on loan might have appeased the fans. You'd be wrong.

Bearing in mind Falcao will cost more, has just returned from an ACL and in a position we don't need? #WoodwardOut

Man United buying Falcao would be like buying alloy wheels for a shopping trolley.

In fifa our attack would be 90 midfield 81 and defence 22

Man Utd getting Falcao when they desperately need a better defence. It's like buying another set of tires for your car that's got no engine.

With Falcao Man Utd have an attack worth over 򣈀 million but a defence worth a sausage roll and 2 packets off skittles

This man, United's chief executive, Ed Woodward, has been blamed for everything that is wrong in the world.

This guy is a responsible for our downfall woodwaed is #WoodwardOut #GlazersOut

I would have MASSIVE respect for LVG if he walked away I really would. Club has lied to him and the fans @ManUtd #WoodwardOut

Looks like Rojo won't play again tomorrow. Leave it Woodward to spend $24m on a player and not know if he can get work permit. #WoodwardOut

Marcos Rojo has done more work to make his move to Manchester United than Woodward. #MUFC #WoodwardOut

Congrats ed. We've missed ANOTHER defender. Benatia---> Bayern #woodwardout #mufc

Ed Woodward is a man made disaster.....A Clown in suit #GlazersOut #WoodwardOut

Some have been unhappy at the way transfers have been announced.

Can't believe our last two transfers have been more or less confirmed on Instagram

    But some are staying optimistic...

Fam why didn't man utd finish 7th time ago soo we could get all these players

Damn you, Van Gaal, and your attempts to revive a clearly struggling team.
