• Response to Boozy Nativity:

This is absolute blashemy! You are degrading the very One who came to die in YOUR place and allow you by His mercy and grace to have eternal life and fellowship with Him. You may have your laughs now, but God will not be mocked! He is graciously allowing you time to hear the voice of His spirit and repent from being a lover of evil to being a lover and child of God. Eternity is a VERY LONG TIME my friend. I would give this some very serious consideration in the back of your mind. Oh sure, for now you'll get some laughs and others who are on the same road your on will tell you how “cool” that is, but the truth is you are perishing in your sin…and there is NOTHING cool about it. I pray that God will speak to your heart and convict you of your depravity before it is eternally too late for you to accept His free gift of love and forgiveness!

  • Statistics are interesting as they show us various trends however the data truly only apply to the sample group that was studied. We can not always assume that a small sample is representative of the population at large. While I can certainly attest to there being a number of students who are accurately represented by the statistics that have been prepared, I can also use a different sample group and give you a completely different set of statistics. As an adult student, I have many students I associate with who spend no time each week partying and 20 or more hours per week studying. Does that mean all students do that? Absolutely not! We need to be careful when evaluating this kind of data to make sure we understand what cross-section of individuals are sampled to produce the data. I love math and numbers…but I also realize that data can be manipulated in ways that can make it say nearly anything a writer wants it to say to validate their argument(s). I think as a general rule I would say that it is seldom a waste of time when an individual wants to enhance their life with more education - regardless of what setting that education takes place in!

  • I think a case in point is demonstrated in a post by Green Tea who claims to have majored in Sociology at an elite, private institution. From the tone of the post, Green Tea apparently must have been spending more time partying and texting than studying during vocabulary and writing classes. It's a shame that a college graduate of ANY college (or high school, for that matter) can not express their thoughts without resorting to the tired, worn out, overused “F” word that is liberally substituted when there there is nothing of substance to say. It's a pretty sad thing when the best you can hope for with an “elite, private” education is managing a retail store. Small thinking from a small mind!
