The only thing thing that freaked me out bad was the Wheelers. When I was a kid I saw someone across the street dressed as a Wheeler on Halloween and I just froze in fear and refused to go any further.
Yeah, that’s what I was gonna say since they get increasingly obvious. I even made one after that first one was being sent around.
I never found this scary as I kid (I thought it was funny) but apparently the Greedy from the Raggedy Ann and Andy movie was nightmare fuel for a lot kids. Ok maybe the whole movie was nightmare fuel.
Uh, I’m sure she did choose to marry him because a) the leaders of North Korea are seen as gods and b) they are rich and living in luxury while the rest of the country suffers.
If I remember correctly it was because they thought American children didn’t want to read about “philosophers” and “sorcerer’s stone” kept the whole magic theme in play. But it feels like they didn’t realize the Philosopher’s Stone is an actual thing from alchemical lore that grants immortality, which would make more sense in the context of the book.
Of course she isn’t. It’s just an exaggerated title side-show promoters would use to get people to buy tickets, since no one really knew what they were in for until they were in the door. People like the “alligator man” would be advertised as hybrid creatures and have posters that would depict a person with the body of an actual crocodile, when really it was just a dude with a scaly looking arm or something.
It was a heck of a lot better than ‘Whitney’. I enjoyed her sidekick and that girl who’d go out and do pre-recorded bits.
Ugh. Poor thing. She seemed like a really good person. :(
When I was a youngin’ I never understood why my friends were so gaga over Josh. Now I get it. Dayum.
I had to quit scrolling half-way through because I got diabetes.
There’s also Avatar: The Last Airbender and some great classic anime like Samurai Champloo and Fullmetal Alchemist. And if you want something super crazy and entertaining try RuPaul’s Drag Race. Never a dull moment.
Also we have #3 in the states but they’re drive-up coffee kiosks. They’re popping up everywhere so they must be lucrative.
I knew about all of these, but I’m glad to see Le Sapeurs and the Dekotora truckers on here. My friend actually saw a whole bunch of the Dekotora trucks all pulled into to some sort of auto shop while he was walking around Japan and they let him mess around with the lights.
My favorite thing was the s’more snack packs, which was graham crackers, marshmallow fluff and chocolate bars. Also I loved the little cups of juice that our school had because they’d bring them out from the freezer in the morning and they’d thaw in the fridge so by lunch time they were like mini slushies.
I think everyone’s ignoring the real story which is: Shirley Temple has a Twitter?!?! For some reason this is hilarious to me.
In addition to #11 there’s also a company who made a bra that gives women the illusion of a flatter chest and it makes tops fit better. I would like to thank both of these bra creators for existing and let them know I shall be a loyal customer.
#13 but Dracula DOES has some swag
#5 feels like she’s just being funny or maybe that’s wishful thinking
The bible verses and religious imagery just make the decrepitness seem even creepier.
