7 Reasons Lena Dunham Should Still Film In Iowa City

After the season 3 finale of "Girls," it's implied that Hannah may be making her way to Iowa. The University of Iowa denied Lena Dunham to film on campus. Here's why Lena Dunham should still come to Iowa City to film.

1. Black and Gold EVERYWHERE

Yeah, Dunham isn't allowed to film on campus, but the whole city has Hawkeye pride.

2. Northside District

Iowa City's Northside District is full of so many gems. The Haunted Bookshop, Artifacts, HAMBURG INN. All in the Northside. All super cool. These places just cannot be recreated.

3. Prairie Lights

Prairie Lights is a local bookstore that hosts a ton of readings by local, national and international writers. There is also a coffee shop on the second floor the store. Maybe Hannah would be inspired by some of the authors.

4. UNESCO City of Literature

Hannah wants to be a writer. Simple as that. Iowa City is the place to be, and you get that with all the bookshops and different designs of quotes from that books and authors that cover sidewalks.

5. The Airliner

There MUST be a scene at Airliner. That's where Ashton Kutcher was spotted and recruited to become a model. Like c'mon.

6. Iowa City's night life

University of Iowa was ranked the number one on Princeton Review's top party school rankings for 2013, and no one has forgotten that. You don't understand it until you've seen the vomit on the sidewalk.

7. The Iowa City sign

As simple as it seems, this is NEEDED for the first episode Hannah is here. Going from a somewhat-bare highway to a beautiful green haven is so amazing. Seriously, the trees, the river, the sign, it's like you drove into a postcard. There's nothing like seeing it for the first time and viewers need that impact.
