Poll: Romney Supporters Are More Excited

The Pew Research Center's polling shows a strong partisan gap in the level of political engagement. 70% of Romney supporters, but only 62% of Obama supporters, consider themselves to be highly engaged.

Romney leads Obama by a wide 8 point margin in terms of voter engagement.

Republicans are generally more invested in the campaign than Democrats are.

Despite being less engaged, more of Obama's suppoters claim to back him "strongly."

And he leads Romney by seven points in the campaign.

But those who say they have given "a lot of thought" to the election seem to swing Romney's way.
