The Blue Power Ranger Comes Out
David Yost, who played Billy the Blue Ranger in the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers TV show (aka my favorite show ever circa 1994) sat down for an interview with No Pink Spandex at the Anime Festival Orlando 2010. More than 10 years after Power Rangers first aired in the states, he finally comes clean about his reasons for leaving the show, what went on behind the scenes, and how he came to terms with his sexuality.

Power Rangers was one of my favorite shows when I was growing up after Duck Tales and Darkwing Duck. I'm glad another famous guy came out of the closet, it gives real people the courage to come out on their own. People should really talk to other people about their issues though and realize that its ok to be gay. There are new services like GayCalls where you can talk to somebody about any personal issues you might be going through which I think are pretty useful to many people. Power Rangers was a great show, but looking back on it now that I'm older, it seems more funny than serious. Ahhh well, I guess that means I'm a grown up now. :)
