Since 1985, a statue of Col. Harland Sanders laid at the bottom of an Osaka River. Just recently, the KFC founder was found and brought to the surface. The statue, taken from a local KFC was thrown in the river by a crazed baseball fan in 1985 after Osaka's baseball team, the Hanshin Tigers, won the national championship.
