Meh, these are all pretty basic activities. The author forgot to add the rudiments of cooking, baking, and canning. I’m not yet 40, but when I was growing up, my mother gave me a very rough time because by age 11 I was not yet capable of baking a pie from scratch. My brother was also taught the basics of how to cook and bake, although he usually fled when we started pickling or canning. Also, let’s not forget the basics of clothing maintenance: washing and ironing in particular.
