A New Mom's Ghostly "First Family Photo" Has Been Shared All Over The World

"When I saw the picture I immediately started crying," she told BuzzFeed News.

Oklahoma native Sierra Sharry was eight months pregnant when her boyfriend, Lane Smith, tragically hit his head at a boat racing event and later died.

"July 13th 2014 was the absolute worst day of my life," she wrote on Facebook. "I lost my best friend. The father of my unborn child. And since that day I have felt so empty inside. A part of me will forever be missing. I loved that man more than life itself."

After a recent photo session with her 6-month-old son, Taos, the 20-year-old felt like something was missing.

Sharry asked photographer Kayli Rene' to mess around in Photoshop with the pictures to help them get a real family photo, and using an old picture of Smith she was able to seamlessly add him in, appearing to watch over his family.

"When I saw the picture I immediately started crying," Sharry said. "I never thought I would be able to see us all together."

The family photo has since gone viral, getting shared over 26,000 times on Facebook, and has caused the photographer to get flooded with requests for similar pictures.

Sharry said she was "beyond shocked" at how the picture has been shared all over the world.

"The encouragement I'm getting from people I don't even know is something I will forever be thankful for," she added.
