There's no shortage of examples of the "mother-in-law from hell" stereotype in popular media.
And anyone who has ever read "Dear Prudence" knows that yeah, some mothers-in-law can make life pretty hard.
But... there are also tons of amazing mothers-in-law out there!
Perhaps she welcomed you into the family with open arms...
Or is just unfailingly sweet and supportive...
Maybe you got off on the wrong foot with her... but she didn't hold it against you in the long run.
