Actually… people have used the old plans and are building houses based on the ones in the mail order catalogs. The building materials, lumber etc, isn’t near the quality today as the quality of the lumber they were built with. Many of us would love to see these homes saved and not torn down. Many are torn down every year to make way forahighway, acollege parking lot,aMcMansion and so forth. They aren’t that difficult to move if they are in the way! Yet, places like Bowling Green State University would rather raze one forafitness center parking lot instead of moving it. Not very “green” either! Who throws lumber ofaquality we will NEVER see again inalandfill? Just one example.
