I think it’s inevitable that any school of thought moves on. Trans exclusionary radical feminists (TERFs) do still exist, but I feel they are becoming if not rarer then at least less accepted. Where its tricky with Greer et al. is that they genuinely had important and influential things to say back in the day. It’s hard to make someone understand that their view is not welcome when they’ve been hearing that all their life from the other side. But I do wonder if she’s stopped to wonder who she’s helping. It’s obviously not trans people, and its not me, a cis woman either- I want to get as far away from biological essentialism as possible before someone starts telling me again that I have to give birth to truly be a woman.
