  • This is NOT an experiment to create a robot girlfriend - I speak Japanese and when I was listening it sounded far more like a nurse in a hospital. Sure enough - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXXCUT_Yw58 It was an experiment in Osaka University to create a remote-controlled robot able to give patients in a hospital a greater sense of security. I would hate to be this researcher, trying to help his country care for its elderly, then have the world think it's perverted just because it's Japanese.
