As much as I can’t agree with Deustch “per se”, but it’s ridiculous that these women’s response for a girl to pay through medical school as an alternative is “work at dairy queen”, really? I mean ok, let’s just say it’s a muted version of prostitution, so what? It’s the oldest profession in the world. And, let’s be honest, there are far more subtle forms of gold digging and the like that goes on all the time that these women are probably ok with “diamonds are a girls best friend”, ahem, I think in a way this is far more honest than certain socially accepted terms like “the man pays for everything” kind of stuff.

Really? Sugar daddy is a word people on average don’t know? I’ve never heard any adult go “what is this “sugar daddy” you speak of?”

So… if a woman waits for a diamond ring and her wedding night, she’s a prostitute?
Look, I get that this could concievably be seen as a form of prostitution. But prostitution is really a spectrum of activities, and I feel like writing girls off as being “whores” is dangerous.
