The Austin Chronicle is not a “rag.” It's a freely distributed weekly editorial that focuses on local culture, music, art, cuisine, etc. Many find it more informative than the actual “rag” of Austin, the subsciption based and largely distributed Austin American Statesman. Since it's free to the public they are forced to take on revenue streams that other main stream publications do not…hence this add…I'm just sayin' :)
